CRM for Painting Contractors: Takeoff, Packages, and Multi-Day Crews
Painting production
Room takeoff, color packages, and multi-day occupancy — not a GC stencil.
- Takeoff
- Package / color
- Occupancy window
- Crew days

CRM for painting contractors is a takeoff-and-follow-up system: rooms or elevations, production rates, color packages, and a crew that may be on a house for days. Best-CRM wording for painters folds here. It is not a generic contractor board with “paint” typed in the job title.
Bid-hit commercial construction stays on CRM for construction companies. Interior design selections on a remodel are closer to that construction file than to a repaint route.
Painting-specific pipeline
- Lead source. Neighborhood canvassing, Google, realtor/designer referrals, property managers. Interior vs exterior is a different season.
- Scope photos and measurements. Room counts, elevation photos, and (where the vendor sells it) satellite or laser takeoff. A CRM that cannot attach that to the opportunity forces a second estimating app.
- Estimate shape. Line items by room or elevation, production rates, and optional packages — not a single lump sum that cannot be revised.
- Sales cycle. Homeowners compare two or three painters. Unsold-estimate nurture over days and weeks is the leak, not a same-day emergency SLA.
- Color and product records that survive the job: sheen, brand, leftover location. That is a painting object, not a GC note.
- Multi-day crew occupancy and weather holds on exteriors.
- Handoff from sold proposal to production without retyping the rooms.
- Repeat and referral. Interior refresh cycles and realtor partners — plus reviews after a visible finish (reputation management).
Jobber and Housecall Pro — home-service ops that painters also buy
Jobber and Housecall Pro remain fair shortlist items when the shop needs quoting, scheduling, and getting paid. They are not documented here as paint calculators. Plan dollars already captured for Housecall Pro live on HVAC CRM; Jobber live totals change with team size on getjobber.com/pricing. Choose them when painting looks like other home services. Choose a painting-native estimator when takeoff math is the bottleneck.
Painting-native vendors — quote-only
CorkCRM, PaintScout, and similar tools market painter-specific proposals and production rates. Public sticker prices were not captured as a clean static table in this pass. Confirm on each vendor’s pricing page. This article does not treat SEO vendor homepages as independent tests.
HighLevel — follow-up, not the takeoff
HighLevel can capture the web lead, chase the unsigned proposal, and re-engage last year’s interior clients. It is not documented as a paint calculator or elevation takeoff. Prices: GoHighLevel pricing. Agencies: CRM for marketing agencies.
