Website Builder Software: Hosted Sites Versus CRM-Native Pages
Website builders publish a multi-page site. They are not a single landing page and not a checkout funnel OS.

Website building tools are for publishing a multi-page site without a traditional engineering team: templates or a visual canvas, hosting, a domain, and enough SEO/forms/ commerce to run a business site. It is not a single landing page, and it is not a checkout funnel operating system.
Campaign pages with visitor caps live on landing page software. Multi-step offer sequences live on sales funnel builder software. HighLevel sites can be enough for a marketing site tied to CRM; they do not make Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, or WordPress interchangeable.

Three different purchases. HighLevel can host marketing sites; that does not make Wix, a landing-page tool, and a funnel OS interchangeable.
Jobs these platforms do not share
- All-in-one hosted business site. Wix and Squarespace sell hosting, templates, domains, and apps in one bill.
- Designer-grade visual development. Webflow is closer to CSS control and a CMS collection model than a small-business template picker.
- Self-hosted CMS. WordPress.org is software you host (or pay a host for). That is a different purchase than Wix Premium. This page does not promote a WordPress Unlimited affiliate campaign; that campaign URL is not in the active registry.
- CRM-native marketing sites. HighLevel websites/funnels share contacts and workflows. Portability and long-form CMS depth are weaker than Webflow or WordPress.
Wix — hosted builder with published Premium plan names
Wix’s pricing page documents a free site plus Premium plans named Light, Core, Business, and Business Elite. The same page states displayed prices vary by location and billing period, that most yearly Premium plans include a one-year domain voucher on first purchase, and that a 14-day money-back window applies to the initial Premium upgrade. Features called out across paid plans include custom domain, hosting, AI creation tools, and (on higher plans) payments and ecommerce. Choose Wix when speed and an app market matter more than exporting a clean CMS. Do not copy a geo-specific dollar from this draft as a global sticker.
Webflow and Squarespace — control vs curated templates
Independent roundups and vendor marketing agree on the split: Squarespace sells polished templates, hosting, and packaged commerce/blog tools; Webflow sells visual development, CMS collections, and finer SEO/performance control, with a steeper learning curve. Public dollar tables on third-party blogs are omitted here. Re-check webflow.com/pricing and squarespace.com/pricing before quoting a plan. Choose Squarespace when “it should look finished on day one” is the constraint. Choose Webflow when the site is a structured content system, not a brochure.
WordPress.org — ownership, not a Wix clone
Self-hosted WordPress is a CMS plus a plugin economy. You buy hosting, backups, and usually a page builder separately. That is the right default when portability and plugins matter. It is the wrong default when the buyer wanted a single vendor to host, certificate, and support the site.
HighLevel — websites that share the CRM, not a design OS
HighLevel Help Center documents Funnel & Website AI for generating funnel and website pages from prompts and guided inputs, then editing in the builder. The public pricing page lists websites and funnels on the core platform. Choose HighLevel sites when the page must create a contact, booking, or workflow in the same account. It is the wrong default when you needed Webflow CMS, WordPress plugins, or Wix’s app catalog. Plan context: GoHighLevel pricing.
Do not treat these platforms as the same site
Wix is a hosted business site with Premium plan names (Light, Core, Business, Business Elite) and location-dependent prices. Squarespace is the curated-template hosted site. Webflow is visual development plus CMS collections. WordPress.org is software you host. HighLevel is a marketing site tied to contacts and workflows. Agency/client management exists in HighLevel as sub-accounts; it is not Wix’s app market and not Webflow’s Editor permissions model.
Portability is the usual regret: leaving Wix or Squarespace is a rebuild; leaving WordPress is a host move; leaving HighLevel pages still leaves you with the CRM. This page does not activate a WordPress Unlimited affiliate campaign. If the job is a single campaign URL, use landing-page software. If the job is checkout → upsell, use the funnel builder guide.
