White Label SaaS: Reseller Software Without Pretending Every Tool Qualifies

Last verified: 2026-08-27

White-label SaaS means you present another company’s software under your brand and, in some products, bill customers as if the software were yours. That is an operating model with support, billing, permissions, and app-store work. It is not a shortcut to a software company.

Three terms that should not collapse

Put CRM-shaped branding questions on white-label CRM. Put HighLevel login domains, mobile add-ons, and plan conflicts on GoHighLevel white label. Put SaaS Mode mechanics on HighLevel SaaS Mode. This page stays on the reseller operating problem.

What “white-label SaaS” requires in practice

  • Branding. Customers should be able to tell your company from the upstream vendor. Confirm login, emails, invoices, and apps separately. A removed vendor badge on one screen is not a full brand.
  • Account structure. You need a parent account that can create, suspend, and permission child accounts. If every customer lives in one shared database, you are not reselling SaaS; you are sharing a login.
  • Billing and rebilling. Platform fee, usage, and what you charge the customer are three numbers. Markup, pass-through, and “send your own Stripe invoice” are different legal and ops jobs. Do not assume the vendor’s reseller mode pays you a stated margin — HighLevel’s public docs describe permission to rebill, not a guaranteed spread.
  • Permissions. Staff roles, client roles, and whether clients can see other clients. Agency products fail this quietly.
  • Custom domains. A hostname you control for the app. DNS, SSL, and the vendor’s required CNAME (HighLevel documents whitelabel.ludicrous.cloud for its web login) are part of the work.
  • White-label mobile. Store listings, developer organization accounts, review delays, and a separate fee. HighLevel’s public add-on is $497/month unless Enterprise includes it. That is an operating cost, not a growth hack.
  • Automation and client management. Provisioning, snapshots or templates, and offboarding. If account creation is manual, your “SaaS” is a spreadsheet plus a logo.
  • Support responsibility. Customers will contact the name on the login. If the upstream vendor will not speak to them, you own nights and weekends. Budget for that before you print a software brand.

Two documented reseller shapes — not the same offer

HighLevel Agency Pro / SaaS Mode. The public Agency Pro card ($497/month, $4,970/year) lists SaaS Mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling with markup, and advanced API. Unlimited ($297/month) already lists unlimited sub-accounts and rebilling without markup. SaaS Mode is the difference between housing client work and selling subscriptions as a product. Help Center billing docs place markup rebilling on the $497 plan only. None of that is an income claim.

Vendasta Professional / Premium. Public pricing lists $499 and $999 monthly minima, with white-label on those tiers (logo, rename Business App, remove Vendasta branding). You are reselling Vendasta’s catalog of local-business products against wholesale spend, not cloning HighLevel’s CRM/funnel sub-accounts. Starter ($99 minimum) does not list white-label on the public comparison.

ClickFunnels branding removal on Dominate ($5,997/year) is closer to an unbranded funnel workspace than to a reseller control plane. It does not belong in the same sentence as HighLevel SaaS Mode.

Operating checks vendors will not make for you

  1. Who is the merchant of record when a customer disputes a charge — you, or the upstream platform?
  2. What happens to client data if you miss a platform invoice? Portability should be verified in the vendor’s terms, not assumed.
  3. Are you staffed to support the product whose logo is on the door? Reseller mode shifts that work toward you.
  4. Does the plan you are quoting actually include the branding layer you sold? For HighLevel, desktop web-app white-label is confirmed without a named plan on the public FAQ. Confirm in-account before a client-facing promise.

If you are still deciding whether HighLevel belongs in the stack at all, use GoHighLevel alternatives. Current subscription stickers are on GoHighLevel pricing.

Editorial verdict

White-label SaaS is a branding, billing, permission, and support problem. White-label CRM is the subset where the product is a client database. HighLevel SaaS Mode is one vendor’s Agency Pro implementation of subscription selling and markup rebilling. Use the page that matches the question. Do not treat any of them as a promise that reselling software will work as a business.
